About me
I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist in Germany ('Approbation') and in Switzerland for cognitive-behavioral therapy. I studied psychology at the Free University of Berlin and I received my PhD at the University of Zurich. After several years working at the University of Zurich, I then worked at the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine at the Medical University of Leipzig, where in 2012 I received my “Habilitation”. Since 2013 I have been professor for clinical psychology and psychotherapy at the Medical School Berlin. Psychotherapy I have a treatment focus on stress-related disorders (posttraumatic stress disorder, complicated grief, adjustment disorder, psycho-oncology) and affective disorders (depression). My treatment approach integrates cognitive behavioural methods with problem-solving techniques and mindfulness-based interventions. Conditions I have a private practice, therefore psychotherapy fees must be paid by the patient. If you have a German or international private health insurance, treatment fees are reimbursable.
